Dr. Mohammod Jobayer Chisti

Dr. Mohammod Jobayer Chisti’s clinical work and research activities focuses on pediatric infectious diseases with his expertise and special interest in pediatric critical care medicine and pediatric respiratory medicine, predominantly those that are common in resource limited settings. His research has a particular focus on childhood pneumonia, tuberculosis, bronchiolitis, asthma, sepsis, malnutrition, enteric encephalopathy and diarrheal complications (i.e. hypernatremia, hyponatremia, hypokalemia, hypocalcemia, ileus etc). He has a particular interest in low cost innovative work and their scale up in resource limited settings in reducing under-five childhood mortality especially from pneumonia, sepsis and malnutrition. As a clinician and clinical researcher his further aim is to help our junior hospital colleagues to be involved in innovative low cost research work that can translate those in the clinical services.
