Biography
Mr. Liladhar Dhakal is a seasoned public health professional with over 15 years of experience in program planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation in rural settings of Nepal. Currently, he serves as the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) at One Heart Worldwide (OHW) in Kathmandu, Nepal. At OHW, he leads project development, monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning systems, while also coordinating closely with the government, partners, and stakeholders for MERL tasks. One Heart Worldwide is a US-based INGO that works with the Nepal government to save the lives and promote the well-being of mothers and their newborns in underserved areas of rural Nepal.
He holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Southern Denmark, Denmark (2013), a Master of Arts from Tribhuvan University, Nepal (2008), and a Bachelor in Public Health from Tribhuvan University, Nepal (2006). He has authored several peer-reviewed published papers and research abstracts that were presented in conferences. His field of interest includes health system strengthening, the use of technology in health service delivery, and routine health information systems.
